Or just the two of them working together at any point during Arda’s history? Up to you!

Daeron/Maglor:
I would very much prefer Daeron and Lúthien to be written as siblings if you are writing Daeron & Lúthien. If you’re writing Daeron/Maglor, my preference is still for them to be siblings, but if for whatever reason you don’t want to write that I’d still enjoy the story.
Daeron is pretty fascinating, and sometimes he gets a bit of a short shrift in fandom. He’s a masterful loremaster and singer and linguist. He’s basically the Sindar’s Fëanor! This makes him a great match for Maglor I think; someone on his level. And they must have some cultural baggage + differences between them that could be difficult at first -- how would they work this out? They were also of course both at the Mereth Aderthad, so something about that could be interesting.
Daeron & Lúthien´s dynamic in the published Silm is pretty meh for me -- I never especially cared. But when I read HoME and started seeing them as siblings, their relationship took on a whole different appearance. I love Daeron as a very protective sibling (or Lúthien being protective, I´m just referring to a possible explanation for why he rats Lúthien out in canon,) or the two of them growing up together, or angsty feels about Lúthien leaving, or some sort of AU where things go differently. Daeron & Lúthien could be in the same fic as Maglor/Daeron, either with Daeron falling in love with Maglor at the same time as he´s interacting with Lúthien or with a Daeron & Lúthien and then a section where Lúthien is dead and Maglor and Daeron have both been wandering and have been away from society for years, and they find each other and help each other to heal/live. Or they could be totally separate fics. Just some ideas.
Aredhel/Galadriel:
Along with Nienna/Yavanna, this is my favorite rare pair! They´re the only female Finwëans of the younger generation, they´re both adventurous and often characterized as tomboyish. What sort of things did they get up to together in pre-Darkening Valinor?

I don’t have too many prompts for this. Just… getting up to shenanigans pre-Darkening Valinor? Talking to each other, going places, etc. Or Finrod thinking of Maedhros on the ice? It could be unrequited love from Finrod -- I always enjoy unrequited pairings. I do not want polyamory involving both Finrod and Fingon.

Anairë and Earwën are canonically very close. Did they ever invite Nerdanel into their friendship, the other Finwëan-by-marriage? How did they comfort each other and try to rebuild after the Darkening? Nerdanel is said to be a sculptress -- what sort of things did Anairë and Earwën do? Character study would be great, as would deep emotional bonds. Queerplatonic relationships if you want to go there, or just close friendship. What sort of things did these women talk about? Did they commiserate over their husbands and experiences being in the royal family? And just what did they do with the Valinorean world after the Darkening -- how did they learn to keep living? Did they do something special together, like maybe a journey around a changed Valinor? How did Earwën feel about Nerdanel having been married to the man who killed many of her people? I know Nerdanel had separated from Fëanor by then, but there must have still been some resentment. How did they work through this?

Turgon is usually depicted as being kind of uptight and Finrod usually really, really isn’t, which is kind of an interesting dynamic (not saying you have to use those characterizations.) But I do like the idea of a sort of opposites attract friendship/romance.
Canonically these two are friends, so how did they become close? What was their relationship like in pre-Darkening Valinor?What happened while they were journeying together along the Sirion? Why did they not tell each other about their dreams from Ulmo? How did they interact once they had their own realms, if at all? (Especially with all of Gondolin’s secrecy. Or what about post-rebirth -- how did they feel about everything that went down?
Roverandom:
Roverandom is a short book that just makes me so happy; it gives me so many warm and fuzzy feelings. But there are also so many beautiful and intriguing landscapes within it, and lots of opportunities for adventuring along with fluffy fun! (And I always love adventuring!) How were Roverandom and Uin as friends? What sort of fun things did they get up to together? I'd love something detailing further adventures of Roverandom and Uin (or Roverandom and someone else, or just Roverandom, if you’d like.) Something that fleshes out the few lines we get towards the end, or invents entirely new adventures for him/them would be fantastic. Like what about that one line which references Roverandom and Uin journeying to pseudo-Valinor? But I would also love something spending more time on the Moon, or expanding on any part of canon, even if it’s Worldbuilding & None (I know I didn’t nominate that) or whatever you want to create. Alcina is an opera by Handel that I think has a really fascinating world and characters, and I’d love to read more about it. My main prompts here are the pairings/groupings of characters I’ve nominated. Just... be inspired by whatever you find inspiring/interesting/intriguing? I’m interested in most aspects of this opera and so would love to see what you come up with. Seeing as Ruggiero is a trouser role, if you’d like to write Ruggiero as a woman who is crossdressing for whatever reason (so she can be a knight?) I would enjoy that (but no requirement, I would enjoy it either way.)

I’ve been reading the 1001 Nights lately, and I just could not get out of my head how much I’d love for these two women to meet. (Full disclosure, I have not finished reading 1001 Nights yet.) They’re both so… so quietly strong and brave, doing what’s best for their people at personal risk, standing up to the ridiculous kings in a way that can actually get through to them, by slowly having the kings warm up to them, all the while keeping track of the things they need to accomplish. Shushan, Esther’s city, is part of Ancient Persia, and Scheherezade is also Persian IIRC. So maybe they could travel to each other’s cities? Or honestly have them meet however you can construe to have them meet. I just feel like they would get on really well. Maybe Scheherazade could tell Esther stories, but at some point reveal that they were true, or at least certain things were true, and in that way reveal her feelings? They could commiserate over the crazy kings they had to marry? Or walk around together, giving ‘tours’ of their cities? They could learn about each others’ cultures/religions? Maybe they could be sending each other lots of letters throughout both of their respective canons and helping each other out, and then post-canon they can finally meet in person?

I just watched this movie a few days ago, and it was a lot of fun. I loved Olive’s character, and I can definitely see how an enemies to lovers romance between her and Marianne could be interesting! How would it come about?

My main prompts here are the pairings/groupings of characters I’ve nominated. Just... be inspired by whatever you find inspiring/interesting/intriguing? I’m interested in most aspects of this opera and so would love to see what you come up with. Seeing as Ruggiero is a trouser role, if you’d like to write Ruggiero as a woman who is crossdressing for whatever reason (so she can be a knight?) I would enjoy that (but no requirement, I would enjoy it either way.)
What is Alcina’s perspective? How does Bradamante feel about always having to chase after Ruggiero? (Although it also seems like they can work together well.) What about the island itself, and all the people that were turned into animals and stone? What sort of crazy stories have happened here? When and how did Alcina realize she genuinely loves Ruggiero? What happened during Oberto’s adventures to find his father? What if ‘Ricciardo’ actually fell in love with Alcina, and she with her, instead of what happens in canon? What is the relationship between Alcina and Morgana like? What about between Melisso and Ruggiero? Ruggiero and Bradamante? (Etc.)

I’ve been reading the 1001 Nights lately, and I just could not get out of my head how much I’d love for these two women to meet. (Full disclosure, I have not finished reading 1001 Nights yet.) They’re both so… so quietly strong and brave, doing what’s best for their people at personal risk, standing up to the ridiculous kings in a way that can actually get through to them, by slowly having the kings warm up to them, all the while keeping track of the things they need to accomplish. Shushan, Esther’s city, is part of Ancient Persia, and Scheherezade is also Persian IIRC. So maybe they could travel to each other’s cities? Or honestly have them meet however you can construe to have them meet. I just feel like they would get on really well. Maybe Scheherazade could tell Esther stories, but at some point reveal that they were true, or at least certain things were true, and in that way reveal her feelings? They could commiserate over the crazy kings they had to marry? Or walk around together, giving ‘tours’ of their cities? They could learn about each others’ cultures/religions? Maybe they could be sending each other lots of letters throughout both of their respective canons and helping each other out, and then post-canon they can finally meet in person?

I just watched this movie a few days ago, and it was a lot of fun. I loved Olive’s character, and I can definitely see how an enemies to lovers romance between her and Marianne could be interesting! How would it come about?

I haven’t actually seen this movie or read this book yet, but it looked like something I would really enjoy. I’ll make sure to watch it within the next few weeks. I don’t have any specific prompts, I’m sorry. I have a lot going on IRL right now but if I manage to watch it tomorrow or the day after I’ll add in prompts then. Something expanding on the themes of the story, or exploring any part of it? Hopefully my general likes can be useful. I like magical fun and magical weirdness, I like bittersweetness, I like all sorts of adventuring.
